Its Been 10 Years Since The First Video Was Uploaded To YouTube, And Here It Is

 

 

 

April 23rd, 2005 at 8:27 p.m. history was made: the first video was uploaded to YouTube.

Now, exactly ten years later, people are looking back to YouTube‘s founding.

Jawed Karim, a YouTube co-founder, uploaded the very first YouTube video, titled: Me at the zoo.

It was shot by his high school buddy Yakov Lapitsky, and it features Jawed on camera, talking about how cool elephants are.

It’s an 18-second video, of awful quality, and it’s not really about anything. That video seems to have paved the way for all of YouTube’s future uploads. Check it out:
